Surfing truly is an international sport and pastime, and this month we travel to England, the land of cold-water surf.  Surfing has become increasingly popular in the country over the last fifty years, thanks to a group of traveling Australians back in the 1960’s and today, an estimated 250,00 people in Britain go surfing annually. The most well known surf towns in England are located along the southwest coast in Cornwall as the area is blessed with year-round consistent waves, relatively warm climate and stunning scenery.

 

Our brand ambassador, Romain Juchereau, traveled to the Cornish coast to capture these stunning photos of Godrevy Beach, set at the northern end of St. Ives Bay in Cornwall. The area is known for its white sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, rocky headlands and dramatic coves. The Atlantic tidal swells are fairly consistent, with beach breaks providing good surf at all stages of the tide. This area is definitely worth a visit the next time you make your way across the Atlantic – just don’t forget your wetsuit and booties.
